Omni Air Transport Earns Prestigious Aviation Safety Credential

Posted on: June 1st, 2015

Omni Air Transport, a leading jet management and air charter operator based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, announced today its recognition as a “Wyvern Wingman”, an industry-recognized safety credential which establishes Omni Air Transport as one of the highest-ranked air charter operators in the country. Wyvern, established in 1991, is a leading operations and risk management firm in the private air industry and widely respected for its operator assessment and rating program towards achieving the highest safety standards in aviation.

“The Wyvern Wingman program has been a top priority of ours for a long time, and we are exceedingly proud to have earned this credential as a company. This distinction goes a long way towards communicating to our existing and potential clients that we are focused on the highest standards of safety and service in our industry,” says Dan Burnstein, CEO of Omni Air Transport.

The Wyvern Wingman program is widely considered one of the three highest safety credentials a charter operator can earn, with Argus Platinum and IS-BAO being the other two. Argus Platinum is the highest rating conferred on operators by Argus International, a very respected aviation data and benchmarking firm that specializes in charter operator scoring and assessment, and IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations) is a widely accepted standard of best practices, and is published by the thirty year-old International Business Aviation Council which promotes and protects the interests of business aviation around the world.

“We are certainly proud to have hit the three highest marks in our industry with the Wingman, Platinum and IS-BAO safety credentials, as well as our DOD certification as a preferred charter airlift contractor for the federal government which we earned this past spring. We are clearly committed to the highest standards of safety and best practices in our industry and have invested a lot of time and attention towards this goal, including the recruitment of our full-time Director of Safety Kevin Zemetis, who brings enormous experience and talent to our management team and safety commitment. Our goal now is to build on this solid foundation as we take our brand of air charter and aircraft management to other markets around the country,” according to Burnstein.
